If you’d prefer to send a check, please make it payable to Episcopal Community Services and mail it to:

Stocks or securities
A gift of appreciated stock generally offers a two-fold tax saving: avoiding capital gains tax on the increase in the value of the stock and providing an income tax deduction for the full market value of the stock at the time of the gift. Gifts of stock are valued at the mean price on the date of transfer to Episcopal Community Services.
To donate appreciated securities, please contact Timothy Whipple, Development Director, at 619.609.1182 or twhipple@ecscalifornia.org.
Donor-advised funds
A donor-advised fund is a giving vehicle that allows you to combine favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support Episcopal Community Services. They are an excellent way to both simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals.
If you already have a donor-advised fund and would like to make a gift to ECS, you can get started using DAF Direct by clicking here.

matching gifts
Many employers will match employees’ donations. This opportunity presents an additional source of income for Episcopal Community Services and is an easy way to leverage your gift into a larger donation. To find out if your company participates in a matching gift program, click here or check in with your company’s Human Resources Department.
Donors must initiate the Matching Gift process, so be sure to secure the proper forms to forward with your gift to ECS. Donors are given credit for both their original gift and any matching gift they secure.
