FOOD BANK RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES/RECURSOS PARA FAMILIAS

The San Diego Food Bank offers programs to benefit families. Emergency Food Assistance provides families food packages containing canned goods, grains, proteins, and nutritious items. The Neighborhood Food Distribution is a produce distribution at locations around the County. Find a list of distribution sites here.

Feeding San Diego has distribution sites around the county. To find a distribution site near you, view this map or text “food” to 877-877. When you find a site close to you, click the name of the site to see the day and time of the distribution.

South Bay Community Services (SBCS) offers monthly food distributions at various Chula Vista locations. Find more information on SBCS’ food distribution here.

Victory Resource Center provides onsite material resources, including food items, as well as referral services.

Project 1:1 created Magnolia food pantry to reduce waste while distributing food. Access to Magnolia is by appointment only, click here to reserve a time.

Students who are enrolled in the Free & Reduced-Price School Meals Program are eligible to receive $365 for groceries through the Pandemic-EBT program. For more info click here.

School District Meal Programs in County school districts offer grab-and-go meals for families. Meals are available for all kids 18 years and younger – even if your child does not go to a district school. Children must be present to receive a meal. Many San Diego farms are offering produce, eggs, and meat, for pick-up and delivery. Visit this website for a list of all the farms offering food.
